Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
Anemia can really cause heart problems, so all in Tx, with anemia need to take it very slow. I know it's hard...I had to stop riding my bike for the 28 weeks of my Tx, and yeah.. I looked rly old and saggy for a bit there, but I am getting it all back, and so will you! The main focus now is on completing yr Treatments...and as little strain on the heart as possible!
The Procrit was no fun at all..it made the large bones in my body ache badly, even my skull :(
Another lab this week to see if any blood levels have changed. Onward and upward!
