I'm trying so hard to not buy "made in China" stuff and stick to 'made in the USA', but it's so hard, especially when you have little grandkids that want toys for Christmas. But this year, I'm making the little ones sock monkeys and giving the grown up ones gift cards to Chick-Fil-A. Please God, bring back our factories.

its hard to ignore the political crap when it so profoundly affects our lives. america is being hammered with austerity measures as surely as any nation. it began in the 80,s with workforce restructuring. the govt is requiring more profit from corporations so more taxes can be realized. our labor is the only thing of value in america. even the resources are worthless if the labor cant be coerced. america is in a bad way. wall street is a casino with human lives for playing cards. sorry to talk in circles. im sounding like bika..

It really is hard to buy anything made here, but I really love the craft bazaars and try to support local artists.

At MLT Loved the sock monkey my grandmother made for me as a child! I saw a woman selling them at the flea market and went back to buy one for my sons and she wasn't there. Now I have a new mission!. PS--Chick-Fil-A has good food, but I don't eat there for political reasons. And I'll stop there.
