You have probably heard this before...forget acid reducers and tums...your stomach and acid will learn how to overcompensate for that crap...it only gets worse if you do it all the time.
Sit or stand upright and dilute that acid with nice ice cold water! Once you get used to it, you will never need tums or meds again!
Cold water works very fast, just keep sipping and sitting upright until pain is gone. Nex and prilo is for 2 weeks only, doctor rarely tells you that part. I havent used anti acids for years.
Of course see your doctor if pain persists, bleeding starts etc etc
And as far as me ever running a cupcake shop as you mentioned in the other thread, NOT ME! I like to cook, I like to do crafts, plants, lots of things, but baking to me is almost as bad as painting walls, which I detest.
Stay away from the pizza and coke!
oSo I had something along thos lines and found it to be a bleeding ulcer when I was 18. May want to be checked sometime. If your stoll turns dark or black you would know.
Not trying to scare you but thats what happend to me!

I have barretts esophogus & have to watch what I eat & drink. Coffee & oj are two of them.... two of my favorites too. I buy low acid oj, and 1/2 decaf coffee. I may start cutting both out, since I'm on my way to being the healthiest I can be.
How do you feel tonight?
I stay away from spicy stuff.
Sometimes have episodes- whether digestive, panic, or worse who knows I'm still here - feels terrible. I watch the clock. If more than 5 min & no relief, I'll dial for help LOL. So far goes away. Think its epi gastric.
Glad you're ok!
