I was just dx back in November, had gall bladder surgery, multiple tests including liver biopsy, and doc has given the all clear for treatment. I am holding two scripts in my hand. I have to get a blood count baseline to submit to insurance, and it's up to them to approve. Doc is already on it and working on PA. I am excited that it's all happened so fast from (shocking) dx to treatment plan pending approval!
Now, can anyone please tell me what to expect from these drugs once I am on the 14 week course? I am already very lethargic and get frequent dull headaches -- likely from liver damage. A lot of anxiety as well. Doc ok'd an occasional Xanax if it gets too bad.

Riba - depends on the dose, and the person. I was started at 1200 mg and was given anti-nausea med in case i needed and SPF 100 for protection from the sun. I did get anemic and had shortness of breath, but by dose was lowered and then it was tolerable. from what i am reading, with Sovaldi, the dose of Riba can be as low as 800 mg and still work well. So keep your soc informed and hopefully you will have an easy time and great results!
