Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.

What is so sad today is that young ones, for the most part, have NO IDEA the risks they're running w/ piercing. Even just ears! WHERE ARE THE PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS???? I'm not saying that there aren't many very responsible professionals out there who take all the proper precautions but that's not who many of these kids are getting t do their piercings and tattoos!! Boy how the CDC has dropped the BALL!!!!!!! Sorry guys didn't mean to jump on my soapbox but damn>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
