Which drugs were on your tiral? Is hair loss a s ymptom for people who do the all orals?
I do feel good mostly just some niggly problems. I have a clearer mind and less tiredness without hep which is great. I have had hair loss recently just like early treatment or pregnancy, hair comes out with the bulb attached in small clumps when brushing and showering or lightly running my fingers though. Its been going on since early december for me. My partner googled it and said that it can happen after a stressful event for about 6 weeks or because of hormones, medication or possibly thyroid malfunction. The bulb attached probably means the sheeding cycle has speed up. I am waiting to see if mine stops after the 6 week mark which it no doubt will, every thyroid check I've had has come out fine. If you find anything out about yours i'd be keen to hear about it.
I was very healthy going in, but treatment did a number on me; mostly muscle loss from lack of exercise. Physically I bounced back to 99% within a few months, but I still have a week here and there when I don't feel so hot. Still struggling with the effects of Interferon...difficulty learning, feeling foggy, forgetful, not as sharp as before. They say it takes 1-4 years for that to clear up.
BUT, overall I feel great, and I'm REALLY glad to be rid of HCV! :-)
I'm glad that there are some Interferon-free options for people these days...
I've been finished a year now too. I'm feeling pretty good overall. No hair loss noticed, other than my annoying habit of twirling and pulling it out on the sides in the back!!
I get random pains here & there, don't have arm strength back, and the worst is the memory & brain fog issues. Hopefully it will get better, if not, oh well. I've found myself compensating in many ways.
I have dry eyes too, and I'm pretty sure my eyesight is worse. I've worn glasses since I was 12. Night vision is awful. some of this is from age as well.
I'm back to walking, but being so cold, I do about 35 min. Was able to walk up to 5 miles this past summer & fall.
I'm rambling now.....
Welcome back. Loved your Jr. High assessment elsewhere. Pretty funny. Thank God we're not teens here or some would be driven to suicide I have no doubt. You sure came back at a cRaZY time but I see a lot of old members have come out of the woodwork. Always happens at times like these has been one of my many observations. Sorry you're having some challenges but hood they get you some answers. Might be just good ole fashioned alopecia so ask ur doctor about txs available.
Anyway you've been missed here Bagel Lady. Maybe you can help be a hallway monitor here.
