Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
sounds like you have the right spirit and attitude to get through this , A OK.
I was about to say , have a great time in the wilds of Canada but then I realized you probably already are , and won't be reading this !
in case you ever do , I want to say how wonderful.......I have always wanted to go to Canada. would probably love living there. My cousin's wife is from there.......I 'think' Toronto . she lives in Us now with hubby and kids but she regularly goes off on her own Canada adventures with her sister .....seeing the photos of them in kayaks or just near the inviting looking water and the landscape. Oh, Canada !
I am confused about one thing you said. You said prior to tx, you were given iron infusions. Isn't that bad, for someone with HCV ?
I am always told to avoid iron , including red meat and even to not cook with cast iron pans because some of it leaches into the food.........and the liver cannot get rid of the toxic iron stores, unless a person is a pre menopausal woman. (as bleeding is the only way to clear excess from body)
even my manager , where I live ...she had told me I had to pull a bunch of weeds for the meter reader to be able to view the gas, water & electric meters....It happened of course when my hemoglobin, etc etc, had crashed and it was triple digit temperatures ( I do not know Celsius ) But I did it anyway and when she criticised it saying I did not do enough I finally told her , I am anemic right now, and she started then telling me I had to eat liver every day...!
I told her thanks, but I can't. she rolled her eyes at me. lol
