about that *&#% headache

So about that headache. I know we all can expect them but how do yours come on? creaper like a sneak....or like mine today....just "BOOM"... head right through the goal posts. It started in the two back corners and went right up to the temples and right behind the eyes, took about less than 30 seconds. Lasted about 20 min and faded away. It's happened 2 maybe 3 times now. Been on tx for 6 1/2 wks. 18 more to go. Anything to worry about or just something to get used to?

wow, sounds like you had a whooper of a headache. that's one thing i never had in treatment...instead i had excruciating lower back pain.

That's interesting Q. Sometimes I get this increasingly painfull pulsing ache in the small of my back. Right between the kidneys. more painfull with each heart beat untill it literally drops me to my knees and then it's gone as soon as the heart rate/bp slow down.
Gets so bad sometimes that it makes me jerk up and down if I'm sitting. Sad thing is every Dr. and P.C.P. that I've talked to had the same answer. It went something like this.."Hmmm, thats interesting"

many times i have heard the quip "you dont know what a headache is until you've had an interferon headache" and i believe it. besides fatigue, excruciating headaces were the worst sx. i didnt take anything for them, but yes, they would come on just as you described.

something to get use too, sorry, but they hang around for 3-4 months. Nothing helped mine and they were 24/7. Then they just went away.
Hope you get relief!

Mine come on BANG........... and don't let up! Worse than any migraine I ever had. I also have eye issues, dry eyes and eye muscles feel very strained. I believe there is an association between eye issues and headaches...............
I occasionaly have to take a fiorinal w/codeine if it goes on for too many DAYS....... just for the break. It's normal re: ur headaches!

Strange re the sudden back pain........... heard many have lower back pain during tx......
Just add these to the list, then put the list in the drawer away from sight!

I'm on my month three and I had them starting last week. The only thing that's helped is sleeping, more water and food.
