These are the results of the Abbvie Sapphire studies, which were for non-cirrhotics. But not a downer at all, because the Abbvie Turquoise II trials were for ONLY cirrhotics - I can't find any official stats/reports - they may be in Phase III now - but I know several cirrhotics who did the Turquoise trial and ALL of them achieved SVR12. So when the results of that one (Turquoise) come out "officially" Abbvie will be lookin' sweet for us cirrhotics. Won't be long - I know it won't. Gilead needs a serious rival, and Abbvie is ready to take them on.

In my case, I am not eligible for screening for ANY more Abbvie trials EVER, having failed the Turquoise II screening twice. Boo. But others who are geno 1 might want to look for these Phase III trials.........

I probably can't get on an Abbvie trial because I did Gilead.... I feel so tainted!

NOT SO, Ganja! That has nuttin' to do with it - I'm pretty sure of that. Apples and oranges. Try it - find an Abbie trial "near" you - call them. They WANT our BLOOD if we can pass the screening. You are not tainted, silly girl. :)

I hear ya - that's why I am not trading in my "virgin" status for some tx that seems half baked - like 24 weeks of sovaldi and riba for a cirrhotic geno 1a (me).
