Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
Yeah, how time flies. It's been one year since I started the Gilead trial. 12 weeks of riba and interferon fun! Wahoo! Was it worth it? He!! Yeah! Would I do it again? Yes. I definitely would. Despite how sick I got, I would do it again if I had to.
I thank all of you who were here for me. There was tremendous support from so many. I don't know how I would have done it if not for this group. From the first day I got the diagnosis I found y'all and you walked me through it. I was one of those without insurance. Thanks to you I found a trial and now I can say I am one of those who have cleared this virus.
I look forward to the day this virus is no longer. Eradicated. Gone. A thing of the past.

That is fantastic news! You must be so happy to know it is gone, and still gone! Congrats!
I would love to get into one of those trials. I am type 1a and never treated. I believe I have had this around 31 yrs, just found out 2 yrs ago though.
Anyone have any updated trial info?
