I had my first Dr. appointment since starting TX on 3/1. Labs taken on 18 days into treatment showed liver enzymes higher than when I started. Viral load labs are not back yet. There is a little concern with white blood cell counts, but we're good for now. All in all, I am encouraged.
We are going to try ambien CR since I have been struggling with sleep.

I am glad your results were OK. Tx mucks up the red n white blood cells, so the drop is no surprise. So long as your dr keeps an eye on them, and does not let them get too low without taking some action.
Best of luck on the VL results.

For sure, take something so that you can sleep; I can vouch for a messed up life if you don't get sleep. I now totally believe that you will go insane if you don't get sleep. It's horrible. I tell you, if I do tx again, I will definitely be taking sleeping pills to guarantee I get sleep.

My liver enzymes were high in the beginning of tx but leveled out as time went by. My viral load wasnt taken until 17 weeks as my doctor says some times they read high and he wanted to be sure. My viral load was zero at 17 weeks, I wont get another on till a month after tx. In the beginning I had a problem with sleeping but if I dont take my riba after 5 thirty , I can sleep. Good luck with the ambien, I was on it half way through TX and stayed on it for 5 years after, I suffer with insomnia. It can be very addictive and is difficult to come off of. I've weened myself off now, try to stick to a schedule, get up early have a busy day and pray I can fall asleep. Good luck with TX.

AAAAHHHH, The almighty sleep!! Nothing, I mean NOTHING works for me other than serequel. I take it every night, and I don't get tired until my head hits the pillow, then I am out like a light, and I sleep through the night. I wake up feeling rested and ready to take on the world!! If Ambien doesn't do it, ask for serequil. I tried many others before we finally came to this wonderful drug!!! Cathie.

Hey Pastor Rob, Good to here what others are going thru as I have not started treatment yet. Please keep us updated so I can get a well rounded idea if how it goes. i do want to do treatment if I can get insurance to pay for it.

Penny - how is the group going at church?

Tried ambien CR last night. Worked a little better than the plain ambien, but still didn't get a good night. Of course, spilling a glass of water all over the night stand, clock, and cell phone at 3am wasn't a big help either!
