Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
There are some better combinations coming along.
Thanks TulsaGal, I was trying to explain to someone that you just can't treat on top of previous treatment. Meanwhile our livers take a beating everytime we attempt a treatment.
Best wishes, Conol
Not telling your wife until a few days ago is exactly what I would've done too. In fact, if I ever find out that my HCV returns, I'm not telling anyone including my husband. I will come back to the boards, such this one, and talk about it but I won't tell any of my family and friends.
I hope you get a good mend on your shoulder.
Tried various meds like lyrica and neurotin but get real bad dreams boarding on nightmares so those types of drugs are no longer an option. I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't a result of the Hep C.
As far as the treatment options this time around I'll probably have to do the Sosvar in combination with the interferon and ribavirin for the long haul. 24 weeks.
