My doc has given me scripts for Ativan. It usually does the trick. I am also a legal pot user and that helps too ;-)

@bluselady I take ativan also. Was just wondering what other people are doing. Been having some bad days but I also ran out of ativan I'm sure that doesn't help.. Get my script filled today hopefully it helps

yep Pot is good for pain and sleep but sometimes it makes me anxious too. Indica strains are better than Sativa for more of a body effect.
One day at a time. Focus on getting through today and pary for a good tomorrow. step by step.

I may have to stop reading all this stuff....My wife says its making me feel sicker and more anxious....

@michael57 I here what you are saying not sure I would have wanted to read this before I started tx either but it is coming straight from the dragons mouth. Which is more then I got from the doctors. I was one of the people who treatment was hard on still suffering today. U and only you need to make an informed decision on what you do. If you need anything just let me know.

@dreamkite3 was on lexapro for 2 years then it stopped working thats when it got bad when the docs where trying different stuff on me. Lexapro is documented as losing it's effectivness after 2-3 years of use. Well after the 2 years it quit working for me. Am on ativan, geodon, pristiq and paroxotene at the present time

Sure, I smoke a little but sometimes you want to feel as less medicated as possible. Anxiety has lessened for me over the course of a few months into tx. I found COq10 and Vitamin B complex really helped me then I found these vitamins called "Alive" which has a bunch of good stuff in it. I don't want to promote anything but works for me.

My first anxiety attack got me a script for zanex. I use them very sparingly. Probably once or twice a month, usually at night. Mostly I try to work things out in my head but believe me, I'm not saying that that is always possible. For me though there are always advanced signs of an impending attack and years of mental discipline from trying to act "normal" when I was stoned out of my head have given me SOME mental tools to work with. I hope that makes sense.! I don't get stoned anymore but certainly understand those who do.

I wish I could smoke weed...my lung doc says I can eat it but NOT to smoke..(copd) Lord knows some days I need something but just stick it out till it passes :)

Many meds around for anxiety, here is a natural method, can't do it in public unless you like to be stared at. Start by clenching your toes then working your way up tensing you calf muscles up to your thigh muscles up thru your chest and shoulders down thru your arms to your hands and fingers. then slowly release in reverse order, don't forget to breathe. It helps me greatly. always consult with your doctor.

Cloud, I'm going to try that. I don't like meds, and I can't smoke weed ALL the time. :)

My therapist preaches what cloud is talking about calls it deep muscle relaxation she also preaches deep breathing where you breath into your chest and breath out through your nose a few times. works wonders sometimes
