I'm taking 600mg/day for pains everywhere. I'm 8mo post tx. Dragon came back over 200,000. I stopped the Lyrica for a couple of days (not recommend) but I do stuff like this to see if I still need it. What a bummer. On the second day from stopping first I lost four pounds of nasty stuff in about a minute (it makes you store fluids). Then I had "flu like symptoms". Pain everywhere when I moved and a general gloominess all day. I had to stay in bed. I lost weight which is what I wanted, but couldn't take the pain and depression any longer and took a pill last night. When it took effect the world was great again (even more colorful) and the pains were gone except on my feet. What the heck is this stuff? It's like MJ with shrooms. Makes me drowsy if I stay in my chair too long. I think I'm gonna try prunes to keep things moving. Anybody else on this stuff?

That is very interesting to hear. I am sorry you have to be on the Lyrica. My PCP reco,ended it for me....I have not yet asked my rhumatologist about it. I am sick of pills. One ,ore pill in my life seems so awful. Still tx, has activated Rhumatoid Arthritis in me and slowly , the Remicade is not working as well. The FM is worse with the tx...sadly, I may have to ask for the Lyrica after all.
I hope you will improve without the need for the meds. *hugs*

I think I'm stuck with it. I feel so much better today. Walking without pain is such a relief.

Sorry you are going through that Wes. I don't know about that drug so could not say. Hope it gets better for you though.

Sorry u were sick for a few days, Wes.... Sounds like ur body needs the Lyrica.............. We are all walking guinea pigs!! I thought the Riba was a mixture of MJ and shrooms.. now Lyrica too?

Pharmaceutical industry is starting to creep me out......... Next thing they'll be putting "gps chips" in all the meds so BIG BROTHER can watch everyone all of the time..........

Kinda like the docs telling all of us " TAKE TYLENOL" 1/2 hour b4 injection! Tylenol is the WORST thing for one's liver...... I take aleve, harder on stomach, lighter on liver.

I say, take what ur body needs today... U never know if tomorrow will come.....! Hugs

My rumitoligist thinks that Hep C has ate all the cartelage form my joints. My Reumitoid Factor has been elevated for allmost 20yrs. May be longer. I've had hep for over 30yrs. I take percs with out the tylenol for pain. I was told that that was the only pain meds that would not harm the liver. Is that true?? I don't think anyone knows for sure. Different people may be affected in diffenrent ways. The hepitoligist isn't so convinced that hep C has distroyed my joints. All of the Dr's are practicing on us. It's frustrating. All I want is to be happy and pain free.

I was on Lyrica for FM for 4.5 years. It was wonderful until I started with one of the sides......suicide ideation. So, I decided to stop taking the stuff and OMG did I go through withdrawals. Once I got back on I weened myself slowly. My MD decided it was the HepC virus that was causing the FM symptoms, which were almost unbearable.
Only thing I miss about the Lyrica is that I took it at night and was able to actually sleep. Then MD put me on Sevella for FM. I thought I was going to die from the sides, very similar to Hep tx.
I got off that drug real quick. FM got improved for me while on tx. without taking any FM medication. Think I took Lyrica for too long.
