Hemorrhoids Support Group
Hemorrhoids are the swelling and inflammation of veins in the rectum and anus. Two of the most common types of hemorrhoids are external and internal hemorrhoids. External hemorrhoids are those that occur outside of the anal verge (the distal end of the anal canal). They are sometimes painful, and can be accompanied by swelling and irritation.
I have been struggling with hemorrhoids for god knows how long now. I used Prep. H for a long time before a doctor prescribed me Proctofoam - which worked great, and usually does work great.
My hemorrhoids come in waves, and right now its weird because I am not experiencing pain like normally, but instead there was lots of BLOOD! It freaked me out so much, it was so bloody that a quick look down below showed me drops of blood hitting the surface of the water after my first bowel movement, then after a flush and another push I looked below to see very red water. It looked almost demonic and I am totally freaked out!
I know what I need to do about this, I need to contact my doctor and tell her what is going on. But that doesn't stop if from being freaky!
I applied the proctofoam rectally, then decided to apply more proctofoam on the surface since I could feel that I needed it. So I did that using rubber finger things (they look like mini condoms) to apply it. When I brought my hand back up though I was horrified at the amount of blood that ended up on my fingers, this was even after I had thoroughly and carefully wiped up after my bowel movements were finished. That tells me that I was bleeding freely even afterwards.
As I said - totally freaked out :( and not sure what to do except for talking to my doctor.

But seeing all that blood in the toilet is just awful. I hope you've been better & that applies to ALL of you.
I really feel damned if i do, damned if I don't
I have pain at times (what middle aged person doesn't??) I HATE WITH A PASSION using ibuprofen, b/c I was involved with a medical studies project ( I have a medical background) study after study show that people lose hair taking ibuprofen if they are ALREADY genetically predisposed to lose hair (I am ! )
So since end of last yr. I've taken aspirin. To see that's not a good idea in terms of pain reliever really leaves me wondering what the HELL I should take when I get pain.
I admit it (SORRY) I shouldn't be so vain about losing a lot of hair, but I hate the shaved head look (JMO) for myself (it's fine for other men, hell, Michael Jordan wouldn't have it any other way.)
