Hemochromatosis Support Group
Hemochromatosis is a hereditary disease characterized by improper processing by the body of dietary iron which causes iron to accumulate in a number of body tissues, eventually causing organ dysfunction. It is the main iron overload disorder. Hemochromatosis is notorious for having symptoms that are often initially misattributed to other diseases.
Actually that's interesting to me as I was going to make a post asking just the opposite, the mozzies love me! I always get bitten even when others don't, it seems, (though maybe I just react more as I have read not everyone gets the itchy bump)
when i was iron heavy i thought it was cause they couldn't fly after slurpin up my blood?? too heavy. or it bent their nose's.? well i was just wondering. one of those things us old monkeys do.
be well.. dc
I was thinking the mozzies liked me as they knew the high iron levels would be best for their eggs.
Well now we know it has nothing to do with our iron levels. (though I suppose it's possible high iron might suppress some peoples reaction to bites but have the opposite effect on others as we can have quite different symptoms generally(?))
My son must be part monkey as they don't go for him either (more on that later & midges)
well make sure you take that little monkey out fishin. it cures monkeyidis after several sessions or was that seasons???
best to you all. oh wait
while out camping this weekend my kids sprayed some of that deets OFF (the stuff "safe for you to put on alllll over your body!) onto some bushes next to camp to help ward the little buggers off.. well the next day those bushes had turned black where sprayed!!! eeegads!!
and we wonder why we come down with strange issues???
well enough of that.... do take care dc/duane
Maybe with me phlebbing twice p/week they just feel sorry for me and don't bother!
zzzzzzz
Look what happened when the surgeon did your liver biopsy.
You broke his scalpel!
If thats what you do to surgical steel what chance do the poor little mozzies have?
Jokes aside. I always used to get eaten alive but I am not sure it is as bad. I think maybe diet and sweat has something to do with it and obviously hair!
Not surprised the repellent turned the bushes black. It melts soft plastic.
