Hemochromatosis is a hereditary disease characterized by improper processing by the body of dietary iron which causes iron to accumulate in a number of body tissues, eventually causing organ dysfunction. It is the main iron overload disorder. Hemochromatosis is notorious for having symptoms that are often initially misattributed to other diseases.
I went to Fl. to visit a friend. The night I got there, I passed out and was having chest pain, went off in an ambulance, stayed in Hospital for 3 days. I was unable to catch my flight, and had to miss the Conference...
I was so sad over this, I was so looking forward to going. Nobody could tell me what happened to me..my blood pressure was 85/52...
The Docs and nurses all acted like they knew about HH,,just by the way they said things I knew it was untrue. The Doc treating me kept calling it..Hemochromo cytosis..lol
They did not want to hear anything about it..go figure..
But anyway..I'm home now....
