Hemochromatosis Support Group
Hemochromatosis is a hereditary disease characterized by improper processing by the body of dietary iron which causes iron to accumulate in a number of body tissues, eventually causing organ dysfunction. It is the main iron overload disorder. Hemochromatosis is notorious for having symptoms that are often initially misattributed to other diseases.
The conference is only 2 days away! I'm flying out with my mom at 11 tomorrow! Words can't describe how excited I am! i will post everything i learned as soon as i can after!

I also wanted to thank everyone for making me feel like i'm NOT alone. I've never met anyone who has HH except for on here, and I think that's why I am so excited for this conference. So I can meet others in person and not feel the slightest bit alone anymore.

I went to Fl. to visit a friend. The night I got there, I passed out and was having chest pain, went off in an ambulance, stayed in Hospital for 3 days. I was unable to catch my flight, and had to miss the Conference...
I was so sad over this, I was so looking forward to going. Nobody could tell me what happened to me..my blood pressure was 85/52...
The Docs and nurses all acted like they knew about HH,,just by the way they said things I knew it was untrue. The Doc treating me kept calling it..Hemochromo cytosis..lol
They did not want to hear anything about it..go figure..
But anyway..I'm home now....
