Hemochromatosis is a hereditary disease characterized by improper processing by the body of dietary iron which causes iron to accumulate in a number of body tissues, eventually causing organ dysfunction. It is the main iron overload disorder. Hemochromatosis is notorious for having symptoms that are often initially misattributed to other diseases.

HH and teeth probs

doe's anyone else have problems with their teeth since, during after phlebs?? i don't have the best teeth but as of late i seem to be being bothered by several that have previously been "fixed". just curious. as old monkeys tend to be.

Yes I have 4 teeth that I had the amalgams removed from and had porcelan put in, those teeth ache sometimes. My dentist did indicate that the porcelan ones would have to be replaced 5 or 6 years down the road, and it has been 8 or so, wonder if there is any link to hh?
the aching comes and goes as do most weird pains in body?

thanks chris.. yeh these teeth have been fixed a couple times already, i didn't know porcelan fillings needed to be redone . shit i just spent a shitpot full of bucks on a porcelan filling last year.. oh well live and learn...... lucky bananas are soft!! :) dc

Quite a few of my (back) teeth have come loose and had to be extracted. I'm not sure though, whether it is the HH or the Hashimoto's. Oh well, either way they had to come out...

oh great. loose more teeth. i should save the gold cap.. might get rich!! the dentist here are big on saving your original teeth. there aint much original in my teeth.. usaf saw to that... but my hair is all mine!! oh wait, i don't have any!! :(
i under stand baldness is also an HH trait. why is it the top of ones head looses it's cover, yet it grows profusely between my toes... i am a confused monkey.....

Yes, according to my best doctor, this is common and I have had some bone damage where the teeth are concerned. I have had this repaired to date but it's quite costly and not fun!
