Hemochromatosis is a hereditary disease characterized by improper processing by the body of dietary iron which causes iron to accumulate in a number of body tissues, eventually causing organ dysfunction. It is the main iron overload disorder. Hemochromatosis is notorious for having symptoms that are often initially misattributed to other diseases.
question from a foggy brained ape. lol . does anyone remember why we are not suppose to use acetaminophen ( tylenol, vicodin ). i know about the warning if you have liver damage, and liver function is abnormal. however for me the liver damage is slight and around the ports. my enlarged liver has shrunken, not all the way, and the fatty liver is reversed since i changed diet and quit booze. my liver function tests are all normal,
my ferritin level is at 35 and saturation level is 37%.
i ask because my doc and i are trying to figure out a pain med that i can take that isn't major drugs. right now she has me on vicodin for my major joint pain, i only take it for the major pain. but when i have to work allot of overtime i end up takeing up to 4 a day just to knock the edge off.
i have read it can be ok at under 2 grams or 2000 mgs.
i cant find my hard copy i had that explained it and don't remember where i read it!??? too many green bananas. doa!!
anywho i sure would appreciate a clearer head that can refresh my pea brain.
need some carrots with those peas.
