this is a group for those of us who are challenged by getting things around the house done....come tell us what has to be done and get support to and motivation to get that task done and brag about what you have gotten done daily! It is hard for some of us to begin an easy chore but when we are doing them and get them done do you not feel like telling someone? I do!

Saved on Lawncare Again

On Saturday morning, I cleaned up my yard in anticipation of my lawn guy showing up.  I left my house and forgot about him coming.  So he called me around 5 p.m. and said he was going to skip my yard.  I was thrilled!  I saved $70.  Yay!

that is good.....I think you said you do not have much grass where you live....so I guess cleaning things up makes it easier on the person who is coming to know they do not need to cut anything or clean anything up....
I am considering buying the string trimmer that goes with my batteries for the lawn mower blower and chainsaw from Harbor Freight because it would be easier than using my gasoline one that is heavy and also has issues with running right. But that one can cut thru branches and even thru my ornamental grass at the end of the year.....I guess I just do not like having to get the thing operational to use it. It is gas operated and those things can be finicky....

How big is your yard? $70 does sound like a lot. Please don't tell my yard guy.

Mid, exactly! bill, my yard is somewhat sandy in the back yard. You should get the string trimmer if it would be easier. We have Harbor Freight in NJ too. Carly, it is a lot. It used to be $50. My lawn guy must have been tired because my lawn kind of did need a cut in spots. But hey, $70 is $70!

lol, You must know that a "lot" can be many sizes. But glad you are getting a good deal.

Thanks carly! I used to pay $50. I had one lawn guy who became a friend. The last time he was here, he said that he wasn't feeling well. I gave him $50 in advance. He never showed up. I started looking at obituaries and yes, he passed away. He was in his early 80s. I went to his memorial service. He fell getting out of the bathtub. He gave great hugs! I went to a Puerto Rican Christmas party with him one time. He was a good storyteller. RIP my friend!

    I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

    It's going to get hotter here with Thursday being the hottest. It's noon and 75f feels more like 80 or more.I've been cleaning up the deck in this morning and cleaning the windows outside. Then I cut up a  pallet in half, I've decided to call it quits now because I went a bit light headed. Joanne, some drugs we take have an effect on us in the heat, I know a couple of mine do, maybe yours...
