helping with the housework Community Group
this is a group for those of us who are challenged by getting things around the house done....come tell us what has to be done and get support to and motivation to get that task done and brag about what you have gotten done daily! It is hard for some of us to begin an easy chore but when we are doing them and get them done do you not feel like telling someone? I do!

I put on a pot of coffee and it started coming out and quit. It's dead. I improvised by heating up some water and pouring it over the grinds. I guess I will be stopping at Walmart tomorrow. I did my Aldi stop tonight so I could come straight home tomorrow. Now that won't happen. I have to get bloodwork done at 6 a.m. It never ends!

I have a nice procter sylex coffee maker that has no pot....the coffee brews into a single container that has a push place on it that dispenses a coffee as you wish into your cup or more larger glass..I love it...the water dispenser is removable and sits on side you take it off and fill it in sink and put it back...lift the lid where the filter or for me I have a gold basket that is reusable....sits inside there and water sprayed out from under the lid to that and below that is a removable piece that the brewed coffee goes into....I can run that and the brew basket thru dishwasher or wash by hand in sink....it works so good...

I have had a lot of bad luck with coffee machines over the last two years. I've switched to a French press. Some mornings, I get it wrong. But for the most part, it turns out great.

Sounds like you both had good coffee this morning! I improvised and poured hot water over coffee grounds but it didn't taste great. I should have grabbed some coffee on the road. I checked the cafeteria this morning at work but they didn't have a pot going. My water tastes horrible. The lemon went bad. Ugh!

did you buy a new pot today? It is Walmart black friday for Walmart + members already....
GreenEyes727
Yes bill but I got one on sale at Target. I am not a member of Walmart+. I am heading to bed very soon.

Sorry about your coffee maker. I really cannot identify with that. I have had one cup of coffee in my life about 5o years ago. It for sure seems like I am in the minority for sure. But I for sure do not need another vice. lol

Carly, one of my brothers does not drink anything hot, not even hot chocolate. Happy Friday!

I have a Kcup machine. It has served me well the last couple of years. With Black Friday near you will find an upgrade for a great price. I also sometimes make instant Folgers with almond milk

Thanks Mel! Just seeing this! At my last 2 legal secretary jobs, we used the Keurig. There was one specialty coffee that I loved. It tasted like coffee that had an Italian cookie dunked in it. At home, I brew coffee. In the morning, I use milk and Stevia and at night, I use a delicious creamer. At Wawa I get 100% Columbian coffee and use Irish Cream creamer. I am a big coffee hound. We have a deal at work but I don't participate. It only costs $10 a month and you can have hot or iced coffee. I bring a 40 ounce tumbler filled with ice, diet green tea and lemon slices and I really have no time to go to the faculty room for coffee. The special needs kids have a coffee business and will deliver a cup of coffee for $2. I may have to take them up on that sometime when I'm cold at work.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
