helping with the housework Community Group
this is a group for those of us who are challenged by getting things around the house done....come tell us what has to be done and get support to and motivation to get that task done and brag about what you have gotten done daily! It is hard for some of us to begin an easy chore but when we are doing them and get them done do you not feel like telling someone? I do!

I've always liked the vintage fashions of the 1940s. In the 70s it was still possible to find plenty of retro stuff and of course the 80s had those Joan Crawford shoulder pads. Never occurred to me that one day I'd find a new vintage look.
It started when I could no longer find stuff from the 40s. The new vintage look is Boho Chic, a look from(horror of it all) the 1970s. I'm still screaming to think about it. I'm old...old...and I'm dressing like my great-grand mother with my 40s clothes. I probably look like a Victorian to the young folks. So it got me on my new project. Get rid of all my old retro stuff and replace it with cool things from, shock of all, this decade.
I went out in one of my new outfits and my friend didn't recognize me.
So far, I've cleaned out my entire closet and donated them to charity. I've hauled out big bags of stuff. Then I figured, why not make a project of reorganizing the entire house. So now I'm on to my office, shredding papers and junk I've had for decades. Then I'll head down to appliances I don't use and finally put the shelves in the new refrigerator I purchased four years ago.
I've stopped pigging out and sitting in front of the TV. It's great and it all started with the 40s.

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ

A great place to donate retro clothing is to a theater group.
tomorrow I am making hamburger soup and fresh bread.....
