Heart failure is a condition that can result from any structural or functional cardiac disorder that impairs the ability of the heart to fill with or pump a sufficient amount of blood throughout the body. It is often undiagnosed due to a lack of a universally agreed definition and difficulties in diagnosis, particularly when the condition is considered "mild."
I just spent 3 days in the hospital. Woke up Wednesday feeling really dizzy. With my history they kept me. There is good and not so good news. The good news is my heart is doing much better. My CHF was caused by fluid overload, which the cardiologist told me can improve once you remove the fluid. And mine has. He also did stress test and I passed with flying colors. The kidney function is improved. However, the dizziness was caused by dehydration. Seems they didn't tell me that you can overdo the limiting of salt and fluids. I was only following orders, but as you reduce fluids, things can change. Also, they did a scan which said I might have blood clots in my lungs. They want to do a CAT scan, but I'm allergic to the iodine contrast and it is hard on your kidneys. So, they sent me home with shots to take for blood thinners and I go see my pulmonary specialist on Monday. Got me down for a day or two, but I'm feeling much bettr and moving on.

I've had that happen once. I didn't really get dehydrated but they said that I may just not have quite enough sodium in my body, and a bit too much potassium. I still get light headed from time to time, but that's due to my coreg. Good luck with the blood thinners.

Wow, Lynnedz56 you are right, good and bad news. Congratulations on the good news. I am sorry about the possible blood clots. That sounds pretty scary. But, they must feel fairly comfortable or they would not have let you go home. I'll add you to my prayers tonight. JoAnn

Update. I saw my pulmonary specialist. He put me on oral blood thinners for 6 months. And I am back to work. Have been trying to readjust per the kidney doctors orders. Had a few days where I just kind of slid backwards. But I'm back on track now. There are times I just feel overwhelmed. I am also in the process of getting Disability qualified at work for any special considerations I need.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
