Heart failure is a condition that can result from any structural or functional cardiac disorder that impairs the ability of the heart to fill with or pump a sufficient amount of blood throughout the body. It is often undiagnosed due to a lack of a universally agreed definition and difficulties in diagnosis, particularly when the condition is considered "mild."
Just wondering how everyone is doing? I'm still battling the bronchitis, but I'm feeling better. Funny how once I was forced to take care of myself from the chf, it's easier to take care of myself when something else happens. I've had a couple days where I have eaten a couple things I know I shouldn't, but I'll get back on track. It seems to be harder to stay on course, when you feel like crap. I also find the longer I live with this "new" diagnosis and the more I read and the more people I meet, I don't see this as nearly as scary as it was in the beginning. I intend to be around for a long time. And I will do what I need to do to keep feeling better.
It's good to read that you are keeping up such a positive attitude and outlook, even when you're "down" feeling lousy due to the additional stressor of having a nasty 'bug' like bronchitis hit you to make you feel ill. It is hard for me to keep on keeping on, when I get any extraneous physical illnesses in addition to my heart conditions CHF, AF, & HCM. I check this board daily but rarely post even though I feel so much empathy for those of us going through similar things. I often wonder why there aren't too many replies to many messages, but have been reluctant myself to post any topics --don't know why, but am going to post a question in hopes of getting some input on anyone else's experiences with a particular heart medication.
