Red as red can be

My co workers at the hospital said I am really red.Does this happen to anyone one else ?I just get exhausted then I flush and have to sit down and I start with that dam dry cough.

Hi Jami - I get red too. There are a couple of things that cause it for me - one is when I get a drug reaction form certain meds - such as from anti-hormones or prednisone and other meds that can cause a flush. And the other time i get red is when I am dehydrated - I also get the skin flush. And it is good when I get it - it cautions me that I have a problem. So I work on finding the problem.

If you have dry cough and you are taking any Inhibitor of ACE, this is a side effect, speak with your Dr. so that he can change the medication.

Hi Jami,

I agree with Jesus. He is smack on with he Ace Inhibitor and I find Niaspan turns me beet red. The dry cough is very annoying and distracting in public. I didn't cough this much when I smoked. Doctor says the benefits far outweigh the annoying cough. There used to be a person on DS. I haven't seen her post recently, Twanda, who asked her cardiologist what was going to take her out first, the heart medications or the heart. The doctors response was that it was different for everybody. Scary stuff.
