Been a long road. Put in mom's icd pacemaker 6-4 got out 6-5. Er on 6-7 and lead perforation. Lead replacement on 6-11 out on 6-13. 6-17 infected and we have been in hospital since then. They removed the icd and leads 6-19 and she got pneumonia. We are getting out soon with a central line in her neck. A cardiac vest and oxygen. Daily iv antibiotics until 7-18 and wound care from the big hole from the removal. She is scared to death about having another put in on the other side of her chest but the doctors are saying she has no choice...she does but she wants to do what she needs to so she can enjoy more time with me. She is only 55. I guess I just needed to vent to some people that would understand. Thanks.
