Heart Failure Support Group
Heart failure is a condition that can result from any structural or functional cardiac disorder that impairs the ability of the heart to fill with or pump a sufficient amount of blood throughout the body. It is often undiagnosed due to a lack of a universally agreed definition and difficulties in diagnosis, particularly when the condition is considered "mild."
And when I get pneumonia (practically every other year...and yes, I've had the shot. Lotta good that did...NOT!), it takes me a whole month to get over that.
I also don't heal physical wounds well. A cut takes a whole week, rather than a few days. Even for just blood tests, the little spot lingers (especially if I bruise).
Reading your post....my bronchitis started out just like yours, a regular cold and then went into my lungs. Been dealing with it now for a week. I didn't get breathing treatments though. I am on 2-3 different antibiotics and doing million other things to make this go away. In 2008 I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, had two thyroidectomies back to back, a radiation treatment. Had low dosage radiation treatment again fall of 2009. I also have mitral valve. Now I am sick with this bronchitis and more of dry cough even after lots of meds. Not doing so well healthwise. My husband made a comment the other night, a rather rude one....why can't you be normal? I didn't get mad....I think I am normal but just sick. I don't see things as having been normal for a very long time. We all work long hours, let our health go to the wayside so we can work to pay for good healthcare and medication. I have to take synthroid now everyday of my life. Anyway, "normal" has been out the door for along time. I hope you feel better soon. I certainly wish life were far different.
