Heart Failure Support Group
Heart failure is a condition that can result from any structural or functional cardiac disorder that impairs the ability of the heart to fill with or pump a sufficient amount of blood throughout the body. It is often undiagnosed due to a lack of a universally agreed definition and difficulties in diagnosis, particularly when the condition is considered "mild."
Not familiar with the bleeding problem.
You are taking plavix - that might be the culprit - it is an anti-platelet med to (I guess ) prevent clots.
Might not be serious - but you certainly would be wise to cantact your cardiology doctor.
Hang in there - you are probably oky - but call the doctors office and check.

So I called my Doctor, and told me that it couldn't be related to my condition, so we agreed that I would visit an otolaryngologist, so I visited him and it turns out that it comes from the upper part of my throat, it seems that with this cold I somehow hurt it. And since I take Plavix and aspirin it takes longer to heal. Thank God it was nothing serious, but like I said, I got scare....
Thanks again guys....
Could be tinnitis or could just be the sound created by the Love from God.
I hear it all the time - in some circles it is considered to be quite a high spiritual experience.

Ringing, humming, shouting, complaining, noises all the time. I used to have all of them in my head, sometimes all at once, until I got divorced. Then they miraculously disappeared. Sometimes the worst ailments have the easiest solutions.
Maybe I should be taking BP medicine, who knows....
Sorry to add a little humor to your disscussion post on what is really bothering you. But a good laugh goes along way at times.
In physiology and medicine, hypotension is abnormally low blood pressure. This is best understood as a physiologic state, rather than a disease. It is often associated with shock, blood loss etc. though not necessarily indicative of it. Hypotension is the opposite of hypertension, which is high blood pressure. Blood pressure is the force of blood pushing against the walls of the arteries as the heart pumps out blood. If it is lower than normal then it is called low blood pressure or hypotension. Hypotension is generally considered as systolic blood pressure less than 90 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg) or diastolic less than 60 mm Hg. However in practice, blood pressure is considered too low only if noticeable symptoms are present.
This is why my doctor seems to think it is quite OK to be running as low as I am at 80 / 50 usually but I have been lower. The symptoms are similar to fainting. It is a sensation that blood is rushing from your head and passing out. The only danger she see's with my BP this low is falling out and hurting myself or someone else. I can even be mistaken for being asleep but I can be out on my feet or on the floor if getting up too quick. Extremely low BP can collapse blood vessels which would mimic an occlusion, but by the time you were to figure that out you woud be unconcious and not able to alert anyone if not witnessed.
Balkviper, when I went through my cardio issues I tried to find an optimal space Just Joe could occupy to improve my likelihood of increasing longevity. I purchased a BP monitor that is quite accurate and I gennerally follow my med schedule by the clock. I have tried to find out all I can not only about the heart, its operation, but I run a failure modes and effect analysis to see what environmental factors or self induced factors effect my hearts operation. It has made me a "Heart Attack Survivor" and Not a "Heart Attack Victim". I stole that from a very wise woman here on DS, DailystrengthSue this summer.
Unfortunately, unlike our kidneys, which are redunadant, we only have one heart and now that mine is damaged, it is incumbant upon me to partner with the medical community and help them and Just Joe help me.
So it is a very good excersise for me to see what role I play or what role I can adopt to make Joe more healthier in that regard. Educating myself is a very good place to begin and I have found a facinating simplicity in a very complicated organ. There is no magic when it come to our vascular systems but it seems that there is still so much ignorance when it comes to realizing and mapping, scientifically, how and why the heart will fail. Maybe it is me and I am looking at it from a laymans eyes and not seeing the big picture. But in life and in reality things are as complicated as we want to make them. In reality, in the real world, day to day, "Things Occur Because They Can" They are made to happen. A stage is set for the play to begin and that isn't magic.
I get sooo frustrated at the answer "I don't know" Well if we don't know and they don't know then maybe we need to get more involved and take control of our own lives here. When I hear those words at an unacceptable time about a very important subject, My Heart" I simply reply, "When will you know". I find that is a polite challenge to inform them that it is not acceptable to stay "Not Knowing", and what can I do to help you here.
Heart science presently seems so reactive it will be literally impossible to get ahead of it. It will take generations to erradicate heart disease, which means multi millions of incredible lives will be abruptly halted. Presently > 700,000 DIE here in the USA annually. In 10 years that will be more death than in the holocaust. Big Pharma is searching ways to better live with heart disease and halt it's progression. I would support research to figure out why it occurs in the first place and then learn how to remove that variable so it is "Not Made to Happen"
Occum's Razor theory was conceived in the 14th century and is up held till today. "If there are two competing theories, the simpler one is usually the correct one". So we can say smoking will kill us by stopping our heart so "Don't Smoke" Is it repeatable and predicatable? Absolutely, but does everyone who smoke die from heart disease? No. So even though this seems like the simpliest answer, there must be another more basic tenet. So we can ask why does smoking cause heart disease? If we found out that answer and were able to prevent smoking from causing that we would have saved millions of lives. So really what are the mechanisms that allow our hearts to fail?
Excuse me you all for me going on and on but every once in a while I get on a horse of principal and vent a little bit. But, to me, man makes things so incredibly complicated that they can't even remember how they got to the premise that they are at. Here's a little example of how problem solving could be related to the heart and the challenges that face medical science in erradicating heart disease.
Say an airliner falls from the sky and kills 300 people. How tragic, correct? What is tragic? The airliner falling from the sky or the people that were killed as a result? Ah hah! Of course it is death which is the significant effect here. So is it incumbant for us to prevent airliners from falling from the sky? Maybe, but do we have control over a solution? Hmmmm. So the real cause is gravity and we cannot control that so is there a solution in going down that path? Not really.
So science takes the easy road and says "Don't Smoke" Now it is in our court coz I have direct control over my own actions. Unfortunately science does not have that control over my actions and cannot erradicate heart disease caused by smoking. So what then? Maybe ask why does smoking cause heart disease? Solve that and prevent that mechanism from taking place and you have halted the cause and effect chain and have found a solution within control of science. Now we can smoke our fool hearts out and watch our teeth fall out and our lungs disease.
So we really just passed the buck by creating another problem by enacting the previous solution. Seems so convoluted, doesn't it?
Coz we made it that way. The Big Picture to me is this. What causes Heart Disease, How and why does it occur? Solve that and we have erradicated heart disease. Not so easy Just Joe! Yeah it is, that easy.
Now he's getting cockey. Ok, how bout this. I stick my hand in a flame and burn my fingers. Anyone have a solution? Well yeah it's behavioral and just make me stop putting my hand into a flame
and my finger won't get burned. Correct ! But only if my behavior changes. Good solution? Not really coz of actually excersising that control. So a more viable solution could be to cut off my hand so a finger can't be burned. Wow that is a permanent soluuion. But causes other problems so it is not acceptable.
This is a basic premise of problem solving. Key word is basic. I have found that there are so many competing theroies that there is no cohesiveness apparent in halting heart disease.
When you have millions of dollars and millions of manhours and millions of deaths concentrating on the known variables, which account for only 30% of cardiac related deaths, are we saying there is only 30% solutions which are directly under any kind of control? So we can educate the populace and devise medications to merely manage the disease not solve it. What causes the other 70% fatalities. I bet "Big Pharma" has little control over that 70% so why address it. Why would I want to solve something that makes me billions of dollars a year. Seems cynical but maybe not to far from reality.
Sorry Good People. This may have been a better journal entry for me, but I do get carried away sometimes.
Just Joe
I've been thinking that maybe it's the water pills, how can you tell when you are taking too many?
Actually it not a good idea to over due the lasix type meds. Big one is dehydration and depleting essential electrolytes from your system. You kidneys could shut down as the dehydration the liver will eventually be effected and symptoms may include ringing in your ears, loss of appetite, weakness, dizziness, confusion, feeling light-headed, or fainting.
Best Regards,
Just Joe
