Heart Attack Support Group
Heart attack is a serious, sudden heart condition usually characterized by varying degrees of chest pain or discomfort, weakness, sweating, nausea, vomiting, and arrhythmias, sometimes causing loss of consciousness. It occurs when the blood supply to a part of the heart is interrupted, causing death and scarring of the local heart tissue.
This has been going on for seven years now. It's impossible to get accustomed to it. It's a good reminder to try to live a little more in the present.
flutters and PVCs. He said the average person heart beats over 9 billion times in their life and a few will not follow the regular pattern.
I wore a holter monitor for 24 hours which records every beat. He said
I had 22 irregular beats in a 24 hour period, several while I was sleeping. As I was about to panic , he said that would not be an unusual
number for an 18 year old. Its just that those of us who have had heart
problems are super sensitive to any feelings in the chest area.
Ditto with the above entries. Yeah, most arrhythmia's are benign to the average 'Joe' but they can also be an indicator of heart disease which we all know we have. Soooooo, it may jus be a cruel reminder that we are all recovering and need to stay the path. I just got done wearing a 'Holter Monitor'on Friday last and had another stress test today. I did great. Last time I did an exercise stress test I had a HA and only lasted 2 mins. This time I lasted 13.5 mins. to target heart rate of 140 BPM and the Cardiologist says it looks pretty damn good considering. The PVC's and PAC's were absent and I felt real good on the tread mill. So we just need to stay our courses and accept the occasional reminder that the physical aspects of our hearts often pale in comparison to the spiritual/emotional contingent. Hey?
