Heart attack is a serious, sudden heart condition usually characterized by varying degrees of chest pain or discomfort, weakness, sweating, nausea, vomiting, and arrhythmias, sometimes causing loss of consciousness. It occurs when the blood supply to a part of the heart is interrupted, causing death and scarring of the local heart tissue.
I just passed the two years since my 3 artery heart blockage that caused my Severe Heart Attack. That day the 30th of March 2012; that I took the last two drags off a cigarette it felt like the last breaths I would take.
Denied this was a real HA for close to 3 hours; until the tinging numb pains went down my arms into my hands. seven to ten minutes longer from getting to the ED and I would not be writing this!!!
I have three stents; one other was to small for a stent; so just was opened up then. I lost the motion in the left ventricle so I suffer from Shortness of breath and lack of oxygenated blood reaching the extremities.
Too look at me most of the time you would never realize how physically challenged this has left me and some time my emotional well being is disrupted. I can not do much of anything that causes exertion; walking over 150 ft. causes me to take a 15 minute rest. I still have some heart pain; but not as long lasting as in the last 3-4 months. I still have problems controlling my getting upset and angry; which I know is not good, Working on it with Meditation and giving myself positive feedback when I don't feel well.
The best I can suggest is to try and remain positive; Meditate; take your medication; listen to your cardiologist; eat the best heart healthy meals you can. I even added CO-Q-10; B Vitamins; Magnesium and Fish Oil with the Drs. permission.

Anniversaries can be tough -- they bring back a lot of very bad memories. We can all relate to the challenges you are facing.
Anniversaries are also a time to measure progress. It's good that you are focusing on the things that help you get better.
