Since my heart attack and stroke this past January, I have gained 20 lbs. I would like to get this weight off. I\'m considering the Atkins diet. It says that its really good for the heart, even though its a high fat diet. The results have proven that it lowers blood pressure and other things. But all the other information says that you should be on a low fat diet if you have heart disease. So I\'m on the fence about whether this is the diet for me or not. I did do it once before the heart attack and it worked good. Dr Atkins was a cardiologist. They have lots of facts that say it perfectly safe and it would seem that if they could disprove it that they would. I would like to have some facts on the pro\'s and con\'s of the atkins diet.
