I was 51 when I had my heart attack and I had NO PAIN at all in my chest. I had a heavy feeling for 2 days near my lung area and then it moved to near the front of my neck. I was vomiting off and on for about 5 hrs, woke my husband so he could take me to the ER. THEN I had pain but it was in my jaw (I understand that is where most females have the pain). I was in the OR within 30 mins and had a stent implanted right away.

That was 4 yrs ago & all is still good now, heart wise altho my MS is worse each month. But my Crohns Disease is much improved thanks to the drugs I am taking for MS. They can also be used for Crohns so that is working well.

I think you should call your DR or go to the ER to be checked out if you are worried. Let me know what is going on...........

I thought I had heart burn for 4 days. On the fourth day it felt like an elephant with his butt on fire was sitting on my chest. I then went to the doctor and sure enough, I had a heart attack. 2 stients placed in right side arteries. Go to the Doctor.

I was 36 years old and for a week, i felt chest pain that radiated up tomy jaws and deep down in my ears. It actually flet like it started in my strnum.. I called my Doc and he gave me a medicine called Protonix for stomach problems but the pain continued. Remember, age does NOT MATTER!!!! It was a Saturday in June and it was about 99 degrees andI was running around doing errands, like returning videos, picking up a few groceries and such and my final stop was a estraunt for take-out pick-up. I got the pain again andbegan tosweat really bad. the waitres asked me ifI was alright, while I was waiting and I replied" just stomach problems."I was about 3 minutes from home,grabbed some icewater,and called 911. They hooked me up to an EKG in the ambulance and told me that I was NOT having a heart attack, so we took a SLOW ride to thehospital. When I got there, the ER Doc did an echocardiogram and told me I was in the middle of a rather large heart attack.Clotbuste did nothing. THye gave me morphine for pain on the way to the next hospital. The EMT's felt bad because they did not rush me there . I was transferred to another hospital for a catherization and stent and the EMT's followed the ambulance, this time with lights flashing. They stayed until they knew I made it.The point to the story is,no pain in the chest should be ignored,no matter your age. And by the way, the angina i experienced the week before, greew stonger and stronger each time it came.Please don't take a chance that it may not be your heart because you are young. It most likely is not. But what if it is. Are you ready for that? Ithink not. Better safe than sorry. And don't let and EKG be the only test they give yu because my EKG indicated that I WAS NOT having a heart attack and I was. Get an echocardiogram. It's an actual picturre of the heart. When you have a heart attack, a part of your heart stops moving, because it is dying or its slows down immesnsly and they can see it with the echo. An EKG is not an all knowing diagnostic test for a heart attack.Good Luck and please do not put off seeing a docctor or go tothe ER. Please.

they said my ekg "looked a little funky" but didnt tell me i was having a heart attack until the next day of being in the hospital. get it checked out.

Everyone, as it seems, experiences different symptoms prior to a heart attack. Although, I found weeks before my MI, I had experienced numbness in my arms and feet, combined with a feeling of cramping on the left side of my chest. I had the flu a few weeks prior and figured it was just pleurisy and I'd be fine. The night before my MI I lost complete control of my arms for a few minutes which I thought very odd and the pain in my chest increased. But, I was only 47 and never had heart issues. Within 12 hours I was admitted into the ER with unbearable pain in the center of my chest. I was having a heart attack. A stent was put in immediately, saving my life.

There are often signs and symptoms before the 'main event' and they should be relayed to a doctor immediately. Don't put off getting it checked out, and if nothing else it will ease your mind and take 'fear' out of the equation.
