Heart Attack Support Group
Heart attack is a serious, sudden heart condition usually characterized by varying degrees of chest pain or discomfort, weakness, sweating, nausea, vomiting, and arrhythmias, sometimes causing loss of consciousness. It occurs when the blood supply to a part of the heart is interrupted, causing death and scarring of the local heart tissue.
This is TOO GOOD! It really looks at the big picture of life and help us see how everyday our decisions lead to where we find ourselves in life. This is true of our health, but also our spirituality as well. And our emotional well-being, too.
Thanks for posting this. I can't wait to see other comments on this. I keep saying it Louie: you are way to deep for this group. :)

I agree with Pam about how daily decisions especially when taken together form outcomes.
There were several thoughts that occurred to me when I read this. One was time frame, one was reference, and the other was knowledge. The time frame is essential. My father-in-law exercised his whole life, at that time exercise which was not a mainstream idea. My in-laws ate fresh food that included chicken eggs and butter. During the first half of my father-in-law's life information about cholesterol and its effects were not as well known as today. They thought that they were eating healthy.
People have been eating animal fat for millennia, there have been considerable differences in lifestyle and life expectancy over time. During earlier times, a person lead (out of necessity) a very active lifestyle (hunting, gathering, etc.). The lifestyle aged people more rapidly and there were accidents along the way so that many people simply did not live into their 50s. Accidents, disease, and the active lifestyle brought many people to their demise before cholesterol became a problem.
Knowledge is much more widely distributed now than at times in the past, so anyone who doesn't know about cholesterol, lack of exercise, the risks of smoking, etc. can only claim that they have been living under a rock!
Then there is another side to the knowledge/information idea. Another problem with information is what to believe. Just because we repeatedly hear the same information doesn't necessarily mean that the information is true. As an example, we repeatedly heard about weapons of mass destruction. There is a saying that I recently read that said "Vehemence is no guarantee of truth". One could also add "Frequency is no guarantee of truth". It can simply be very difficult to distinguish what is true in many instances.
I would like to include a link to some interesting information that might give you some insight as to what I am suggesting.

Louie did you write this? If so, have your people call my people. Odds are that they all have hidden killers stalking them also.
You know what this story says is so true. I guess it isn't sexy enough to recognize simple, run of the mill, hum drum, mundane habits of life, as a KILLER. Just like the frog in the water story. I guess our nature plays a big roll in why we do the things we do.
Some people remark, "What does our nature have to do with this hidden killer. Since we are sharing stories, you all have to know that I have one.
It concerns ones nature and how powerful an instigator of habit it truly is.
A scorpion and a frog are pondering, on one side of a river, to get to the other side. The frog views it as a piece of cake just to dive on in and swim accross. The scorpion, however, has an equal need to cross but cannot swim. A dilema for the scorpion but mere habit for the frog.
The scorpion asks the frog if he could hop on his back and catch a lift accross the river because of his inability to swim. The frog looks in wonder and says"What are you NUTS" as soon as we are halfway across you will sting me and kill me. The scorpion retorts, "That is obsurd, Mr. Frog, if I would do that I would surely drown"., The frog thinks a spell and sees the logic in the scorpions appeal and agrees to assist him in crossing the river.
The scorpion then eagerly hops on the frogs back and the frog dives in the water and starts to swim accross the river. Well, about half way accross the river the scorpion rears back and, wouldn't you know it, he stings that frog with a fatal blow and the frog and scorpion begin to sink and drown. The frog, with its last breath asks the scorpion why he had stung him coz now they will both surely drown. The scorpion, struggling for his last breath says to the drowning frog. "Why did I sting you Mr Frog? because it is my NATURE."
So I guess we lead our life styles to beckon the killer, Because it is our Nature. It took a heart attack to change Mine.
Just Joe
I like your story too. It's up to us to change our nature, it's a free choice given to us.
