Yeah, there's Valtrex to prevent outbreaks, but that's no guarantee an STD still won't be passed. And I'd know I'd never be able to conceive a child with her (done the "old fashioned way", that is), unless invitro or some other method besides exposing myself to an STD.

I guess if I really liked her, I'd take the risk, but always use a condom so the shit couldn't get inside my body through my penis.

Koolman - That's definitely not true, like I said that both my gfs are married and have sex the old fashion way. One has a child and neither of their partners have it. It's all about being informed

LOL - I do know that they have talked extensively with with doc and they can tell when an outbreak is about to occur. Actually, one of them hasn't had an outbreak for about year now - Hell with technology they've almost got a cure for that and Aids. Still wouldn't want it

i think its a very good thing to be tested yearly like any other yearly exam. I know it feels embarressing but really its your life! Most doctors are very private and polite ex: For hiv exposure you should be tested and retested every 6 months. Its a very scary world! Just to let you know if you have a rash and it dissapears, it doesn't mean that what ever you had is gone.

never had anything apart from thrush which tends to be a bugger to get rid of n not very comfortable. but then i found out that i am allergic to latex. so had to change my brand of condoms.xx
