I had crabs when I was in college. My exbf was a Mizzou football player and he told me a couple of the guys on the team had them and it must have been on a towel! LOL

Not me, thank the Gods. Although I should get tested since my last BF was most likely cheating on me. You can't tell with a lot of them, they don't have physical signs or symptoms.

In my own situation, I should re-phrase: After I had sex with this one girl when I was 36, I came down with the worst rash on and around my balls, which lasted about 4 months (I used a condom but there was obviously some leakage). Didn't go to the doctor (out of embarrassment) and it went away on its own. That was 8 years ago, and haven't had an outbreak since. Crabs?

the cervical cancer that i am currently in remission from, was caused by HPV...human papaloma virus...which most women don't know causes cancer. Men carry it and pass it to women, without knowing because it does not portray any known symptoms in men.

WHICH is why i am a huge advocate for educating teens on safe sex...maybe if my mom would have talked to me when i was a kid, i would't be fighting for my life.

Kool you've never heard of crabs? Let me tell you they itched like crazy, it was awful! All it took was some special soap and they were gone. So I guess it's not really an STD but it is transmitted sexually

Yet one more reason to use a condom EVERY time, unless two people are living together and can thus be reasonably sure they're not "getting any" on the side. But even condoms, as I discovered, don't prevent "leakage" to areas around the private part, like balls or inner thighs. Geez, that itch was awful! I can only imagine how bad herpes feels!

I remember being scared to death when I had to have myself completely tested as well as my wife as it was a requirement prior to going through 'in vitro fertilization.' I was completely fine!!!!! What a relief.

This is why I'm not in a great rush to jump anybody's bones LOL...(until I know her as a friend, we've talked about what our sexual histories are, and we've gotten tested).

So Koolman are you saying that if a woman was upfront and honest with you regarding the fact she has herpes you wouldn't even consider dating her.

I once dated a girl that I really liked, and the fact that she had herpes when we met was what broke us up. She didn't want me to get them, and said she'd never be able to get intimate with me because of it. And she left me.

That's just not true now days. I have two very good friends that have herpes and they have sexual relations with their partners and haven't given it to them. I'm not certain when and when you can't have sex but I know they do
