The only thing I like better from POF is the sites layout. It is easier to navigate than Match and much easier to do searches when you are looking for something specific.
The Match.com site is good, but like POF, when a specific quality is stated, then why are those lacking or not having that quality matched. For instance, if I state I will only date from + or - 5yrs of age, why would a 75 yt old be in my match section, lol
Ok, we do not need another Hero, so I will button my lip. Geez, I sm becoming ocd
BTW, you don't sound like Hero....no one is that annoying
The one place i actually met two really nice women on was OKCupid. That one has extensive survey questions and i think the fakers think it is too much trouble and go somewhere easier.
One big problem with all the sites is that if a woman is at all attractive she will be literally inundated with hits. One of the women i met on OKCupid said she was getting hundreds per day. Guys almost never get hits so it is very one-sided. If you are a guy, the odds a woman you are interested in will even see your message is small.
Another funny thing one woman told me is that online dating puts a huge race to have sex into play. It is typical for a woman to date a number of guys at once while she is checking out her hundreds of options and these guys will be all over the place date-wise. Some will be date 1, some might be on date 4. But the first guy she sleeps with usually pulls her off the market for awhile since most women wont sleep with two guys at the same time. The guys know this so there is a huge pressure to bed the quarry before someone else does and much less time actually getting to know someone.
XO (Turner Syndrome - which causes POF)
Says it all really.
I met my husband in a random chatroom on ICQ which no longer exsists....atheist chat room, maybe because they didn't believe In it it stopped being.
Never done actual 'online dating' per se.
Lol
Neither of us was looking for a relationship, just ongoing fwb. Funny how things turn out coz it's certainly more than that now.
So I guess my dating site advice would be don't take it too seriously. And don't write off someone coz they don't immediately make you weak at the knees. I met a few guys & decided to take the fwb direction with this one because he DIDN'T give me butterflies even though I found his personality attractive. The butterflies came. :-) (not suggestinf this will happen for everyone ofcourse)
