it gets this way in the sexual abuse forum too. I think any time something sexual is of nature, peoples emotions are running a little high.

but i agree. i think we have all had our hackles raised a bit. i am sending soothing pets for all to lower the hackles. lol.

I agree to, for the most part. But it is tough to read new people come in and brag about making two porn movies and two weeks later ask "what is dogge style?" or two weeks ago say "I'm kinda agnostic" and then ask for prayer.

Have always enjoyed this place, have read some very wise enlightening words, have made some friends who are probably closer than some of my family. Have seen folks come and go and through it all, my lasting impressions from this forumn will always be the the times when I knew, I just knew, that anyone who read what I read was busting a gut, slapping a knee or about to pee themselves. Laughter is a great equalizer. Smile it makes others wonder what your thinking, laugh, it makes people laugh and love, cause nothing is better.

I would also agree Jancam. When the train is running smooth and then out of thin air someone says "Okie-dorkie" in a non-humorous way, the train derails. I still don't get that. What was the purpose? I just saw a lot of ill tidings after that and it hasn't let up. But I've now got my first official "ignore" recipient so perhaps that'll be the way to go.

And I will second what Tossed said. I'm here to laugh and learn and support (when needed). Period.

The "Ignore" button is a very useful feature, indeed.

Part of rules of the road is to keep the posts positive and not to hijack threads with mean spirited comments. So many poeple have messaged me and have said they are afraid to post becuase a few of us rip on the threads. Then the rest of that group joins in and alienates the new person and some of the old posters. Its like you have to qualify yourself to get permision to post or you get torn to shreds.

A new start.

If we can keep the replies healthy and in a positive manner I will enjoy this place so much more. This healthy sex and if we keep it that way and accept that some people are on different paths of their life and they have different morals than others rather than bashing different people we should all get along.

I say follow the rules of the road and this will be a fun place to post.

Rules of the Road includes no name-calling. Just saying. I express my opinions here, but I have not once called someone a name. And my reply in Joe's thread was to JOE, since he's the one who put it out there. I got no scathing remarks from Joe, but someone else sure felt the need to go into offensive mode.

I think it is important that we all try to follow the rules of the road both here and in life. it is the courteous and respectful thing to do. We are even given gentle reminders by DS each and every time we post when they remind us to be "nice" upon submitting posts. I am not saying that we all have to agree to everything everybody says, just be respectful of their opinions. I think that healthy debate is a good thing for adults, however the name calling should stay on the playground.

I guininely feel like are people are inherently good even if they dont always come across this way. I am sure that every member here has some really great qualities even if sometimes they are hidden. I am a forgiving person so I think a fresh start is a great idea! I have no I'll feelings toward anyone in this group.
