Anyone have an aversion to sex? I'm 62 & have always been grossed out about the thought of having sex. I'm a virgin & I have no desire to change that. However, I want all other aspects of a normal relationship. Any ideas of where I can try to meet a man with similiar perspetives (meetups, social groups, etc). I live in chicago.

Nope. I'm just having a problem with hating some PEOPLE. Maybe that's your problem too--you haven't met a PERSON you like and thus would like to have sex WITH.

You may be asexual. Search for the term and see if you can relate. Try fb groups and meetups.

Sounds to me like you are asexual. That's ok. Some men are asexual, some women are asexual. There is at least one [likely more] asexual groups. Somewhere out there is a single guy, approximately your age who is asexual too and would love a "normal" relationship, minus sex. I would encourage you to reach out, research the groups, and if you find the right one, join. Be careful, but you may find a wonderful match!

I agree that you might be asexual and that a man with a similar outlook could be just what you want. However, not all men with sexual desires want intercourse. You might find someone who is not asexual but is compatible with you - someone who finds his sexual satisfaction elsewhere such as from masturbation for example.

I agree that if yiu have no desire for sex, baring a physical issue like hormone stuff, it is fine to be asexual. I disagree with Barry. It is very painful for men to find themselves in sexless relationships that were not started or intended to be that way. I am sure there are many men who are really ok with that in the groups mentioned. Sex is actually the easiest form of intimacy. And without other forms, physical sex is sort of a weak subatitute.

Sex isn't everything in a relationship but it helps two people feel a special connection with each other. So without it I would suggest a relationship would need some common ground on something you both feel strongly about and spend much time at. Many men who are in their sixties and up find themselves impotent. Not to say they can't orgasm but they just can't stay hard enough for intercourse. Men won't say much about that but they too wish for companionship but are too embarrassed to say they have a problem. It's sad really. So many people want to connect emotionally with another but are too embarrassed to be honest with having issues. Just be honest about who you are, what you want or don't want. One more thing tho, find out why he doesn't want intimacy. I was in a relationship where turned out he was gay and using me to hide it. That was a very painful emotional situation.

Bookstores: They're a great place to meet people for stimulating conversations, without sex.

I was very nervous the first time I got naked with that man. It did get easier as he was so caring and gentle. I really think that I would be the same way again with a new man. I have to care alot about him to trust that much. It is more a trust issue with me than sex.

Perhaps you are asexual, as others have said. However, if you were sexually abused in your life, this is likely why you don't like the idea of sex, because you need healing/therapy. If you weren't abused, definitely find someone who is not expecting this from you.

I have toys. So the ones I have not used or need any more, are gone in the trash. One of my toys is just a regular hand held massager with an attachment. The other is a real insertable toy. This morning I ordered a new toy with attachments. It is small and has a brush like attachment and the other looks like a rose with a tiny tongue. I'll get it in about 2 weeks. Rechargable and...
