IMO, of course it can. I do not believe in the Christian God but I believe any belief and sex can certainly coexist. Humans are sexual beings and I don't believe we're sexual beings just for the purpose of reproducing. If that were the case, I would think we would only have sexual needs and urges during times that we are fertile and we would probably have no interest or desire to engage in sexual acts that have nothing to do with conception. That's just my take on it.

I believe in God and I believe that He placed the desire and need for sex within us. For Centuries sexual activity was abused by those in position of authority which led to many denominations curtailing sexual activity in an attempt to control the abuse. There were many do's and don'ts established. I know that many will not agree with me but I am speaking to those who do. I believe that there are certain guidelines for us to follow as Christians. Monogamy was established to bring strength and continuity to the family structure. Many have taught that a woman's body belongs to the man to do with whatever he pleases but the Bible doesn't say that at all. It does state that the woman's body belongs to the man but the man's body also belongs to the woman. The intent here isn't meant as a form of control but rather as a means for couple's to enjoy pleasuring each other. No where in the NT are we commanded to "Control" someone else. In Ephesians women are commanded to submit to their husbands. Many people end the verse there while ignoring the remainder of it. Submission isn't about giving into the whims, demands or needs of another. But rather it is about a man learning to Serve his wife through love and respect something that many men fail to do so which is why we see so many here looking for support.
I respect my wife. That doesn't mean that I should be careful and not fart in her presence. It means that I recognize her talents and qualities that make her unique. If she is better at handling money then I would be wise in letting her have that control. AGAIN I AM SPEAKING TO CHRISTIANS HERE not to those who do not believe. I know that many will not see the previous statement and will comment anyway.

You see, God set us up to be loving toward one another. Everything must be done in the realm of love. When that cart gets upset then we start to see abuse, strife and the destruction of the family unit. Men, if your going to sleep with a woman remember that she isn't your sexual play thing. She is a human being equal to you in many aspects. Superior in some. Unfortunately there are men who fail to comprehend that and think that "NO" means yes.
God wants us to enjoy sex. Sure it was given to us as means to procreate but if that was His only design He wouldn't have given the ability to enjoy it so much.

Did God design sex to be beautiful? Who knows? If so, wouldn't all animal species be having beautiful sex?
Maybe human sexuality evolved into something more than an animalistic purpose.

The design, placement and purpose of body parts is for procreating, but the emotions and feelings that happen during sex seem to be for pure pleasure. So if there is a God who created us, I think he or she, had a wonderful sense of sensuality.

Sex is for procreation and pleasure. I believe in an afterlife with sex also. It no doubt will be for pleasure;and,in my opinion,could also be for procreation.

I don't necessarily believe in the Christian God either (I have a problem with the "sacrificial lamb" theory, that Christ had to die so our sins could be forgiven), but I do believe in a higher power...that we can all tap into.

I guess it really depends on which god you are talking about. I forget the name of the christian god... for some reason "felafel" always pops into my mind... so it has got to be close to that. Jehovah?

Anyway, most of the gods do not seem to object to sex. It is the churches that do that. Quite unnaturally so, if you ask me.

I feel like there would be a whole different perspective of God if the churches didn't implement their own laws and rules. Sex (religiously speaking) would probably be viewed differently as well.

If Catholic priests were allowed to marry, perhaps the clergy would attract more red-blooded breeders and fewer homosexual pedophiles who like altar boys.

In the Bible, God tells humanity to be fruitful and multiply, and tells husbands and wives to love each other. I'd say His views on sex are pretty obvious.

God made sex between husband and wife which is why it makes sex beautiful and to be shared between a married couple. I am a 22 year old virgin and I am waiting until marriage as this is what God has asked Christians to do. Do I feel pressure being 22 and being a virgin, yes and I have some friends where they think I had sex in order to " fit in" There is a lot of pressure surrounding sexuality .
