Healthy Sex Support Group
This community is dedicated to an open discussion about healthy sex and sharing thoughts and feelings about sexuality and improving one's sex life. Most active adults desire to have an active and fulfilling sex life, both for themselves and also their partner. Here we discuss common sexual challenges faced by both men and women.
First, most sites have categories of what you are looking for such as "long term relationship", or "intimate encounter". I'm assuming the sample profiles weren't from the relationship search.
I have run into a variety of people types (in my case, women). The most common type is someone who is actually dating, and sleeping with, someone else. These women are in essence trying to find a better boyfriend than they currently have. They want to put sex on the back burner because they don't want to cheat on their boyfriends. They want to make sure of ditching the existing guy first.
A second very large group are those who have just (like a month ago) gotten out of a relationship. They are not ready to get into another long term one yet and again sex goes on the back burner because they are mostly looking to get their minds off their ex and want to date a lot of different guys.
Yes, there are some nice women online who are ready and open for a relationship. What happens there is that guys are all over them. If they are at all attractive they will get 100s of contacts per week. In this case, suppose a wonderful guy like me finds a woman like this. If I found her, she probably has a dozen other suitors she has emailed a lot, spoken on the phone with, and perhaps dated once or twice.
Since most women won't sleep with two, or more, different guys while dating, there's a race going on. The first guy she ends up in bed with, which may be love or too much to drink, is the guy who wins the cyber-dating race. So, in online dating, guys have a considerable incentive to bed a woman as quickly as possible if they are interested in her.
Ain't like it used to be where you seldom met someone you were interested in and had a chance to get to know them before a potential rival showed up.
"Bev Hills": I read her "adventure" line to mean something sexual. "chemistry... adventure you won't soon forget" certainly implies she is looking for hot sex in her next beau. She just wants it to be in a serious relationship context. The best adventures happen in the bedroom, right?
"Sammie Jammer" really does sound like someone looking to support her shopping and restaurant habits. At least she is upfront about it.
I think it is mandatory to put "no ONS" on an online ad, only because so many men are there looking for hook-ups. It doesn't mean anything about the person. Men would include "no hookups" too if things were reversed.
