I have a history of relationships where we both jumped off the deep end, were incredibly intense for a time then grew apart. I was once diagnosed with Schizo-affective Disorder, which is a fancy way of saying "emotional train wreck" (the latter term supplied by an ex before we started dating).
At this point I've not been in a relationship for over a year so my judgement is even more suspect than usual.
I work in a large store. One of the cleaning ladies always has a big smile and something friendly to say. At first I thought I had seen a wedding ring on her hand so I assumed she was just a very friendly person. But I noticed on Friday, when she wished me Happy Valentine's Day, that while she was wearing a ring on each hand, there wasn't a wedding ring after all.
I've become obsessed with wondering if she's interested in me and don't have the slightest clue how or if I should try to find out if this is so.
I've never been in a relationship with a coworker. If we should begin dating and I do my usual head-over-heels behavior it could endanger both of our jobs. I'm also worried that if I'm wrong and I've approached her in the wrong way it could have negative consequences.
No doubt there are other groups that might be more appropriate for this topic . . .

Am i paying attention to her because I feel like she is hitting on me and gives me all kinds of signals that boost my ego and therefore i really want to know what she looks like with only her cleaning apron on, OR do i have genuine, deep feelings for this person because not only she is beautiful on the inside but also is hard working woman with character.
I noticed the OCD part of it...as soon as she didn't have a ring on, you became obsessed with the thought that she may want you.
I wonder if it's like a huge Cat and Mouse kinda game...like, the Chase of getting her is the "high" part of it, and once you got her, it's intense...but then the new car smell wears off, and you stop?
Have you ever been married or anything?
@TTMI729 - schizo = disordered affect = emotion I don't believe I truly have the full blown disorder and it was many years ago that the diagnosis was given, based on a one hour interview and a few tests.
