Maybe you can identify some particulars you are choosing that always end in disappointment...type of person you are choosing, expectations, etc.?

Aside from the obvious, honesty, morals, compassion, ambition, etc. I look for someone who is independant (because I too like to have my own space at times), I look for someone not afraid to show affection ( I like to give and recieve) and someone who will let me be myself (someone I dont feel lots of pressure that I need to change to accomodate their lifestyle, etc.) I've had my experiences with the bad boys and the good boys alike, and honestly they have different strengths and weaknesses. The thing is with the bad boy you might expect to be let down. With the good boy it comes as a shock, and right now, I am shocked.

I want someone who will be my partner.. my teammate, we're in the race togehter. he drives his own car {life} I drive mine.

but when one breaks down we give each other the tools and etc to get back in the race..

My walls are being built in stone.. I also understand that you cannot protect yourself, that it is not healthy, but I ask the same question,, how can you trust and how do you know who you can trust... the bad boys are gonna hurt you and so are the good boys! (sorry,, sounding a bit whoa is me,, huh?)

It is a defensive measure that we take when we are hurt..It will always happen. We can tear down the walls easy enough but it takes time. Putting it up is quick. We need to learn to not put up the walls to quickly.

I wish that I knew how not to close myself off, but right now I don't want to be rejected and hurt again.

Build the wall of china around it.

When real love comes there will be no defence.

Nobody can bring you down but yourself.
