I loved his sisters reaction to it.....poingant....
but it was a movie, so i dont put much thought into it after ive finished watching it
Affleck as the husband was no saint, but he was just a pawn, along for the ride, until he figured out her game.
Is it on Netflix or Prime or anything?
It's unfortunately not available for free on Netflix, or Prime yet, but it is available on free streaming sites online if you use those.
But then, when he turned out to be a douche, i didn't like him either.
Never retrieved any affection for the wife character, btw.
Felt sorry for the old BF though.
It definitely kept my interest more than, say, Birdman.
A totally stupid movie in my opinion. Why would a woman like that be desperate for the love or companionship of the total loser that was the Ben Affleck character??
I feel she was flawed by the way her Mother created the perfect "amazing Amy" character. She was always seeking something and couldn't see her own worth.
Which led to her wanting and needing to be with a man she was attracted to, which wasn't about money or smarts or she would have obviously picked the Neil Patrick Harris character, but his admiration of her left her cold and probably grossed out.... So she sets her sights on a man she is sexually attracted to because deep down she knows he is a loser and he will never adore her.
The whole thing is messed up, but sadly a true portrayal of the self destructive tendencies we poor humans often have. The need to seek what is not good for us!
As for Lifetime TV movies, I jokingly call that channel Lifetime Television for Women Who Don't Know Any Better. At least an hour is devoted to "preaching and teaching" about the crime that has just been committed.
Because he was not only handsome (the Neil Patrick Harris character was certainly handsome too) but STRONG, animalistic, lustful and f-cked her like a bull moose in a way the weaker Neil Patrick Harris character never could I think! So, while they related intellectually and could even complete each other's sentences, her and Affleck's relationship was primarily physical, sexual. Hell hath no fury like a woman denied her sexual gratification, multiple big O's!
I think it was about way more than she liked the sex with Ben Affleck.
Like I said before, she was messed up living under the shadow of her Mother's "Amazing Amy" character and didn't have normal healthy self esteem so when Ben Affleck cheated she couldn't get over it in a normal healthy way and she went nutso!! Sort of like the real life Jody Arias case, huh??
anywhoo... creepy movie to say the least!
