Hi there,

I just wanted to ask if anyone has had a problem with their significant other texting 24/7?

Me and my husband recently got back together and I screwed it up and now we are just friends. Thing is when I try to talk to him he has his blackberry in his hand and constantly texting to his friends. I feel like he is totally distracted from me. He doesn't even text ME.

I am just really upset that he would rather talk to his other friends when I am standing right in front of him

Has anyone experienced this? And how do you approach them about it?

I find that extrememly rude. And I would politely ask him to not do that when you are together, especially if you are in a conversation.

it was a problem with me and my ex. he was constantly doing it while we were suppose to be shopping for groceries. that told me he was talking to someonelse more important than me . it ended up i left him at the store with his phone. i also find it rude. it sends the message that you are not important enough to have that person s full attention. unless it is work , an emergency or an elderly parent thay are talking to im sure it can wait .

The guy is was seeing would be constantly on the phone with other people and texting as well, but he couldn't text me or call me. If I texted him, he would put down my texts as stupid.

I have tried talking to him and at first he said if you don't like it get thr heck out. Then he calmed down and said that sometimes he doesn't speak to his friends for days. He is still doing it and I just get angry. I have started to text a lot maybe he will get the message.

This guy is showing disrespect to you frequently, it sounds. Didn't he come out of the blue and leave you once? Is he one of those "better than nothing" relationships? You deserve better.

My ex is addicted to alcohol. At the height of her addiction, she couldnt put her phone down to save her life. I see other addicts daily in the course of my job and their behavior is like that too. I wonder if they are related behaviors...

I am taking some time to figure out if I really want this. I dated a bit in the summer and there are alot of really nice guys. Maybe I deserve better, I think I am afraid I will be alone and not find anyone. I keep trying to say to myself that being alone for a while isn't a bad thing but those feelings towards him keep coming back.
Hopefully I can figure out myself so I can realize what I really want

Some people can write better than they speak. Maybe texting is just his preferred mode of communication? Maybe the reason he doesn't text you is he doesn't like what you like to talk about?

Koolman: I am sorry, regardless of his preferred mode of communication. What he is doing is flat our rude and disrespectful to her. If he doesn't like what she's talking about then he needs to tell her, not play with his fphone life a 16 year old boy
