You're taking impersonal situations personally here. Are these real, or pretend internet dating people? Internet people don't count because they aren't real until you meet them.
I myself there were times when I.was supposed to meet someone new and id chicken out. either cause I was nervous or.self esteem issues like what if he doesn't like me or I look too fat / shitty today...
don't take it.too.personally.
it sucks when people can't even give you a heads up that they've changed their mind
Then was too much of a coward to tell you she couldnt make it.
Not the type of woman to get your knickers in a knot over.
Weeding out the icky ones, thats all.
One was an online thing: I agreed to meet; took pains with my appearance; drove all the way to the agreed upon destination and then chickened out. I wish I would have called it off and/or apolozied after wards, but I did neither. Instead, I deleted all of his contact info and blocked him. I still regret my behavior. I don't know why but I went into self protection mode at his expense.
One other time, I was semi-dating the guy. I liked his looks, but was on the fence on whether or not I liked him. We had set up a date and I came over to his apartment. He was not there. I waited for about 20 minutes and texted him. He said he was running late and would be there soon. I waited 20 minutes more and walked out of his life. I don't regret that one too much. Again, I wish I had more nerve to confront him, but I didn't.
Insecurity is what drove me...
If someone makes an arrangement and bails with no courtesy call F. 'Em. You're a decent guy and deserve better than that.
GOLD STAR. You brought a smile to my face today with that and I needed it badly.
