I'm sorry that you've been hurt sweetie and it does suck
Big squishy hug...xo
Not me!!
I think most of these men/women who treat another person cruelly, there's many ways not just by ghosting, are insecure themselves and feed off their kicks to validate their existence in their miserable lives.
It's a trait and a behavioral cult all based on what drives them to do so, their kickback. In psychology, they have a chemical imbalance reflecting their shallow narcissistic personality. They lack "empathy" and "self-regulation."
I'm glad you figured it out for yourself on time!!
I believe a well-balanced secure man and woman will not initiate, instigate, tolerate, or entertain cruelty much less at the expense of another. Not only is it childish, pessimistic behavior, but it's all in vain, unfruitful nonsense.
You don't know the person's intention until you realize the emotional/mental abuse they project. So don't beat yourself up for something you didn't do and for someone not meant for you. Be thankful you're in your own light and get to see the light.
God bless you!
Be the Salt and LIGHT of this world.
As a teenager should even know better but there at the Inmaturity stage in life but as of once you become an adult you should definitely no better and know it’s wrong women do it to not just men.
If your dating or in a relationship or friendship regardless if you don’t want to be a part of there life anymore and it may hurt the person but to ghost someone is just plain wrong.
You may feel hurt now but it should remind you you deserve better and I believe in karma
I was thinking about how manners are not taught today like they were 200 years ago. I was reading this fiction book about how a women in the 1880's was taught so many rules of behavior by her parents. We just don't have these rules of behavior any longer it seems. Some of us do, of course.
I almost ghosted someone I just met (early friendship) after a text message I considered irrational and racist and catastrophe creating. I was hearing things I didn't think would make a good friendship all along (we have not met in person because she cancelled last week). She sent me a text last night that had racism and irrational political stuff that I can't abide. I texted her it was a no to our friendship and of course, she gaslit me for doing so (bad friend, judgmental).
If I had just never answered her texts or phone calls or email, it would have saved me from that BS. But ghosting isn't telling someone the truth. I felt in this situation, I had to tell her the truth but doing so came at a cost to myself. Now processing the entire weird thing.
I had to block her and her email on my phone because she got so ugly. Many people want to avoid this and just ghost.
Some might say this is obvious, but I don't think so. I have a friend, still call her that, in Australia I got to know deeply and helped her through divorce. She met someone new and I encouraged her to pursue her own happiness. I was her advocate and sounding board for years.. I've been 'ghosted' since 2017 with no explanation at all. But I expected it was a possibility. A new spouse or partner wouldn't take kindly to a special friendship with someone even if 11 000 kilometers away. I said I understood that if such was required, I would understand. Well, it happened. It's bewildering but I do understand.
The no explanation part is the toughest. They just vanish. I'm not hurt or offended. I prep myself from long distance friendships getting cut off. Life happens. But I can appreciate your perspective and realize how I might have done it in the past, along with many things, that had impacts I didn't even consider.
