What ever you do, don't settle for someone and be as picky as you want to be since you will be with this person for the rest of your life. If you just want to go on dates and have fun for any reason the don't be so picky but if you plan on dating someone for a partner then be picky as shit!!! :P
Just my opinion!
At the same time though, there are things on my wish list of characteristics in a man that I would choose to be with, that I absolutely will not settle on.
I decided long ago that "no man will ever want me more then what my kids will need me now" So, the best I can, I try and concentrate on being a mom and raising my kids. If someone happens to come along, then great...but I'm not going to put my kids out to build a relationship with someone else..
does that answer the question? LOL
For example..I went on a date with a guy last week. We met for lunch and had good conversation. It seemed we had ALOT in common. Then, he says to me "i know there are some women who don't like to be controlled, but if they think a man loves them they will do pretty much anything he asks her to do"
Lunch was over.
however, i too have been "too picky" and may have ended a potentially great relationship or two.
i suggest that you have some critera that you stick with. for me, it was - he must be taller than me, attractive and very sweet. luckly we found each other and are as happy as the day we met (going on 5 years w/ 4yr daughter)
yes, be picky but dont go overboard....
Make sure your picky side is practicing a little patience.
