The site is free and remains so because Google ads generate revenue. The reason the ads generate revenue is because of traffic to this site. Traffic to this site is generated because the site shows up under a Google search.

Unfortunately I don't think you're going to read this since you cross-posted the same topic in a bunch of forums. Typically, this is a violation of the Terms of Use. Consider yourself reported.

I'm sure there are plenty of non-free sites out there. And there is no reason that you need to put up personal or identifying information.

I never said you weren't thoughtful and helping. And you should consider that you're projecting something when you say that you must "gonna go be alone now forever". That's a bit passive-aggressive.

Healthy Relationships requires us to "be real" with ourselves. And hopefully to learn be real with the relationships in our lives.

Feel free to come and go. But please don't think I'm chasing you away. Spamming all the boards with a single message is just that, spam. Maybe you don't realize that's what you did or intended. But intentions are not real, actions are real. If everybody did it we'd all be Big Beepers.

Maybe you would like to explain again why this petition is necessary?

My advice is to pick a screen name that isn't anything like your name, don't put too much info on your profile & lock your journal entries.

Don't take it personally-you obviously weren't trying to spam the message boards, you did what you thought was a good thing.

metalchic has a point. for a site where we share sensitive information, there's a serious lack of privacy here. This could become a legal issue for DS, particularly if minors are involved, so i think it's something that bears mentioning.

The dismissive response by voin was unnecessary, and while metalchic's passive-aggressive responses weren't the best, I can see why she would be hurt. Reporting somebody for one instance of cross-posting is in my view poor form without at least a warning. Also, there's no reason that the revenue generated by google traffic should be affected whatsoever by implementing a little privacy so not just anybody can see all your info. Facebook does it.

You can change your screen name by asking. I did this a while back as my screen name was the same as one I use on another site, I hadn't thought too much about that when I joined up. It explains it all in the help section here.

If you keep your journals on private, or to just your friends, no one can read them...

I too certainly understand where you are going with this. You shouldn't worry you have offended anyone, this is a support website and unless YOU have been openly rude or mean, try not to take it personally if someone else treats you that way, we should be here for each other.
Consider my name on the list, I certainly have my own reasons for signing it!
