So for some reason I made an online dating profile thingy. My friend told me it might be a good shout just to try. The site I used gives the option for friends so I thought that may be a good safe choice for now as I am still getting over my relationship.
Some people have been nice. The majority however....
Well....my faith in humanity has lessened and I am ready for my many cats.
From guys constantly showing their junk, to guys creeping. Eew

The majority of people on those sites are looking for booty. The "friends" option actually tells them you're looking to have sex without committment. No one goes on dating sites to find friends.

yes, I've heard "friend" is code for FWB/ booty call too. Which I agree, is strange, especially if there is a casual sex option. I think some of these guys, are so desperate for a hook-up, they will read sex into most anything you write. I've read some of these guys think girls do this, because the girl can always change her mind once she meets the guy (hookup or not hookup). And that she doesn't want to come off as a um...you know what. Kind of dumb, I think.

I figured this out the hard way, when I first joined the dating websites. I put in my profile I was not in a hurry to get in a relationship, liked to take things slow, friends first, see what happens... oh boy...no!!! Now I say something to the effect, I'm looking for a long term relationship, but take things very slow, in particular to intimacy. Which has shoo'd a lot of guys off lol.

Yes, Hurt, there are options for all of those things.

In my experience, and in hearing the experiences of others, "friends" means booty.

Another thing that really got me. Of course I put an actual photo of myself then I figured since I said I am an illustrator I put a doodled cartoon of myself. That wound up being flagged and deleted!!
Then, not even an hour later some guys profile pic shows up on my feed. His picture? Why him bollock naked of course.
HOW IS A DOODLE BAD AND DICKS APLENTY NOT?!?!
