I found that my dominance vs being passive fluctuates greatly and my perfect match is the same way. I call it the teeter totter - we balance each other out.
I've gone to places with some of my beautiful, & approachable, single female friends. They would hope to meet a "nice guy". At times, no males, would even say "Hello"? It would seem impossible that there wasn't one single male, in the place that wouldn't have liked meeting someone new also. ?? IDK.
Being passive is lame as hell!
I haven't dated in years, but toying with the idea again after the D. Although I am flattered when women approach me, I seem to connect better to the ones who wouldn't normally do so.
SLOW guys finish last.
And it's also worth mentioning that you should evaluate your target audience when determining actions. Depending on the kind of woman you want, There are times where patience (Read-passivity) pays off, and there are times when a more aggressive approach is needed.
But perhaps the message here might be something more like passivenice
(had to look up the ascii code for )
I personally don't like the word "nice", as a recovering "nice guy" I don't like the phrase. I prefer decent person, for someone that is assertive, defends his boundaries, but shows compassion. I seek balanced relationships that are fair and equitable... but I see the passive versus aggressive balance as different than the article seems to imply. I see it as highly situation dependent and less clear cut.
There are all kinds of people in the world and all kinds of relationships. There are those who are very passive that find a mate and their relationship works for them. There are men who are strong and aggressive and rather bossy and they find a mate and their relationship works for them- why? Because we don't really know what goes on behind closed doors do we?
I've always been considered a "nice girl" I am nice to everyone and kind in general- that doesn't mean I don't do bad things! lol
Thats pretty healthy isnt it? LOL
